The Surgeon
General estimates that 66% to 70% of cancer is a result of poor
diet. There are many books addressing diet for cancer and
many nutritionists ready to help the person diagnosed with cancer.
Be aware that, while "The Standard American Diet" (SAD) has been
shown to be highly carcinogenic and a diet based on fruits and
vegetables can play an important role in healing from cancer,
there is no one diet that is right for everyone. Some people
with certain blood types thrive on a vegetarian diet while others
need some meat in their diet. Pay attention to how your body
responds to the cancer, read the books carefully and ask your
nutritionist about what is right for you.
